Hoe kijkt de wereld naar Europese techregulering, en welke ethische dilemma’s brengt technologische innovatie met zich mee? Tijdens ons studentensymposium dagen wij rechtenstudenten en recent afgestudeerden uit om verder te kijken dan (tech)regelgeving alleen. Er zal een keynote zijn over de oorsprong en toekomst van Europa’s techreguleringsagenda en een interactieve workshop over technology ethics.
Aansluitend is het podium voor de drie finalisten van de Brinkhof Internetscriptieprijs 2025. Zij presenteren hun scripties, waarna de jury de winnaar bekendmaakt. We sluiten af met een borrel, een ideale kans om informeel kennis te maken met onze collega’s.

Symposium on EU Tech Regulation: Between Law, Ethics and Geopolitics
How is European tech regulation viewed around the world, and what ethical dilemmas emerge from technological innovation? At our student symposium, we invite law students and recent graduates to look beyond (tech) legislation alone. The programme features a keynote on the origins and future of Europe’s tech regulation agenda, followed by an interactive workshop on technology ethics.
Afterwards, the stage will be set for the three finalists of the Brinkhof Internet Thesis Award 2025. They will present their theses, after which the jury will announce this year’s winner. We will wrap the afternoon with drinks — a great opportunity to meet our colleagues in an informal setting.
